Sharing an iPad in a meeting

I have a client with a machine running Windows 10 Home.  When he tries to connect his iPad through the screen share/screen mirroring function, it does not recognize the device.  My own machine recognizes his iPad.  Could there be something in the Home version of the operating system that is blocking this function?
