Sharing a Instagram Video on Zoom within a Powerpoint Presentation on a Mac

I teach classes and record them, and sometimes, I need to embed a short video in the lessons and play it without ending the sharing or recording. I don't seem to be able to do that easily unless I can have the whole video embedded in PowerPoint. Any ideas or YouTube that show this would be wonderful. I have the latest Zoom for my Mac and the OS is updated, as well as the PowerPoint software

Powerpoint is very resource intensive and not a good choice for this task. Consider using OBS Studio instead. OBS can be used in webcam or screen share mode. It can switch between scenes and manage multiple cameras, multiple videos, and multiple audio sources.

Hi,

I totally get the challenge of keeping your classes smooth and engaging while juggling video sharing. If you want to stick with PowerPoint on your Mac, here’s an easy way to embed Instagram videos:

  1. Download the Video: Use a reliable tool to save the Instagram video (just be mindful of copyright stuff).
  2. Embed in PowerPoint: Open your presentation, go to Insert > Movie > Movie from File, and add the video to your slide.
  3. Adjust Playback: Click the video, go to Playback Options, and choose to have it play automatically or when clicked.
  4. Zoom Settings: When sharing your screen in Zoom, check the Share Computer Sound option so the audio comes through clearly.

If PowerPoint feels too clunky for this, OBS Studio is an awesome tool for managing videos, but it takes a bit of learning to get used to.

Hope this helps!
