Hey @heavenlytopgun
The reason you might not see it, especially with a new company account, is likely due to an account-level setting that a Zoom administrator has configured.
Here are the two main reasons the "Portion of Screen" option may be missing and what you can do:
The most common reason this option disappears is if the account's admin has disabled a related feature. This setting is often called "Disable desktop screen sharing for meetings you host."
If this setting is enabled (i.e., screen sharing is restricted), it can sometimes hide the "Portion of Screen" option.
What you can check:
Your Personal Zoom Web Settings: While your company manages the main account, you may be able to override certain settings for your personal use if they are not locked at the account level.
Go to the Zoom web portal (sign in to your account through a web browser).
Click Settings on the left navigation panel.
Go to the Meeting tab, then scroll down to the In Meeting (Basic) section.
Look for a setting like "Disable desktop screen sharing for meetings you host" or "Screen sharing".
Make sure that any setting that disables or restricts screen sharing for your meetings is OFF/Disabled.
If you cannot find or change this setting:
Contact your IT Admin: Since it is a company account, the setting may be "locked" at the Account or Group level. You will need to ask your company's Zoom Administrator or IT support team to check and ensure the "Portion of Screen" option is available for your user group.
Less common, but still possible, are issues with the client itself:
Update Your Zoom App: Ensure your Zoom Desktop Client is updated to the latest version. This feature requires a modern version of the app (usually 5.3.0 or higher).
Check Screen Capture Mode (Advanced Client Settings): In your desktop app:
Click your profile picture and go to Settings.
Click the Share Screen tab.
Sometimes, changing the Screen capture mode in the Advanced section of these settings can resolve unexpected issues. You could try selecting "Advanced capture with window filtering" or "Legacy/Previous operating systems" to see if it brings the option back.
If you are able to access your personal Zoom settings on the web, I would start there, as the account restriction is the most likely the root cause.
