Saving Upcoming Zoom Meetings that you are not hosting to your Google Calendar

I have a number of Zoom meetings that I attend. I am not the host but would like to save them to my Google Calendar. So that I can also see them as scheduled in my Zoom Home page. When I try, Google wants to assign a new meeting ID and password instead of giving me an option to place the existing ID and password generated by the actual host in it. What should I be doing to save these meetings?

I would just create a new calendar event and paste the join link in the location of the meeting. That should be enough to have the meeting be functional as a calendar event on the desktop client.
