On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

I've not seen "Require authentication to join" as an option before. How does it compare to waitroom and passcode options? Is it the "easiest" route for an attendee to access with?

Hello @GabyGab , this feature is meant to prevent "Drones"/"Hackers" to join/blast your meetings as "Guests"; it forces to whoever joins, it will be because it has a proper account with Zoom (even if free) but with "verified" credentials as opposed as any automata with the URL of your meeting. I would recommend not to replace your current settings of using Waiting Room/Password with this.
If your typical meeting participants are "guests", this option will make it more difficult (if not impossible) to join until they don't have some sort of authentication with Zoom.
I hope this helps. If so, mark (Accept as Solution).
