Hello there

 

Is it possible to send participants of a meeting a reminder e-mail via Zoom?

Within the desktop app unfortunately not. You could copy the link and paste it in your email client to said. If you would like to automate this there is a marketplace app, Salepager, for sending reminders for Zoom meetings.
