Registration plus private meeting link option

Hello,

I was told that it is possible, with our "Pro" plan, to have a PUBLIC registration link for a meeting, as well as a PRIVATE link that can be sent to members of our organization so they do not need to register. I have not been able to figure out how to do that. Does anyone have tips? I appreciate it.

Hi @AKNPS_pres yes! I believe this is possible. The way I am thinking you can do this is the following:

  • Require registration when creating the meeting; therefore, you will share the registration link publicly
  • For inviting users privately, you could share the Meeting ID and Passcode, letting the users know to join to following ways
    • https://zoom.us/join
    • Zoom desktop client > Join > enter "Meeting ID" > enter "Passcode"; therefore, participants bypass registration and join the meeting.

Thank you! I feel like I attempted this option but I am a little concerned if the dues paying members cannot simply join with a link. They are the ones who should have the easiest access to the meeting.

@AKNPS_pres gotcha, you could also leverage Embedding meeting passcode in invite link; however, after testing, I discovered that copying the embedded link from the meeting's security details causes users to be prompted to register even with the embedded credentials.

Feel free to test with an incognito  mode window with the embedded link and registration enabled
