Registration issues on a recent meeting

Hi there, 
I hope someone can help me with some advice. I have started a free monthly "Gathering Space" on zoom. During the first one, for which I registered participants via Eventbrite, someone sent an abusive message. I was not clear whether it was the person it seemed to be or note, as when I sent a DM reply, an automatic message popped up to say "your message cannot be delivered to XXXX as XXXX is not in the meeting", but I could very clearly see and hear XXXX in the meeting". I have dealt with this and won't dwell anymore but I share it because it means I wanted more security. 

I set up my next meeting on Zoom, and promoted registration it via linked in events . I activated as much security as I could on Zoom. 

When it came to people accessing the meeting, a number of people could not get in because I had set it to only allow "registered members" so I had to remove that. 

Then people could not get in (including my co-host, who was registered as a presenter) because the link kept sending them back to the registration page. 

So I emailed everyone with the invite from the Zoom meeting itself. But that didn't work either. People were still being directed to the registration page, or were informed that there was no host, when I was online. 

As a result, out of 17 registrations, 4 people told me they were having issues, and I finally managed to get them into the meeting, but I suspect a few tried and gave up. 

As my next meeting (for which we have 17 registrations) How do I ensure that it is accessible?
And as a secondary, how do I make sure it is secure?

For security DO NOT publish the Zoom link publicly. If you still want to use linkedin or Facebook then publish a contact link where you can confirm the HUMAN behind the contact via conversation, then send the link privately. You could also signup for Zoom events (not sure with less than 20 participants it would be a justified expense) if you want to make the meeting public.

Setting up registration does not keep out bad actors, but it does require a valid email to be used.

Once the meeting is setup for registration and started, participants need to register to participate.

Eventbrite was primarily intended to do webinars and not Zoom meetings (yes, they allow meetings, but that is not recommended). Webinars are intended for guests to only listen and view and webinars requires an additional or other license.
