Recurring Meetings disappeared from Zoom Workplace?

Hi - I use recurring meetings/ Meet Any Time all the time in my practice, and they are suddenly gone from Zoom Workplace. They disappeared for a while last summer when Zoom updated, but they were restored shortly thereafter and I haven't had a problem since - until now. What happened, and will they be back? It's very inconvenient to have to go to the web version to find those links multiple times a day. Thanks for any help you can give.

Yes we have been having issues with reoccurring meetings as well. Unable to assign different HOST.  See our recent post - https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Meetings/I-CANNOT-ALLOCATE-A-NEW-HOST-TO-MEETINGS/m-p/226477#M123423

Have you had any response from Zoom?

The reoccurring meetings have been moved around a few times. They should now be visible in the Zoom app. If you are still having difficulty there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you view, schedule and manage your recurring Zoom meetings in one location.

Thank you but Zoom should get its act together.

We just created an API for wordpress and cannot find an option for recurring meetings with all the calendar scope activated. I see there is another selection that refers to recurring so it appears that it is or was supposed to be part of the process. Have you found that the recurring entries will import if you create them from Zoom outside the API?

I answered my own question finding the API linking tokens to wordpress plugin requires the 35/ year pro version. It would be nice to have the option and a notice reflecting the upgrade.

Hi Mark, well this issue was flagged back in June/July 2023. Nothing has been done since. I have about 10 back and forth emails regarding this functionality disappearing.

The issue is in the API created in Zoom Marketplace. I can still create a recurring meeting in the Zoom Ap or browser but it does not transfer inside the plugin within Wordpress. For NJSAUS you can access the assignment of hosts within the API if you can't get it in the browser. It seems to work well.

Hello Community Members,

We have received information from the engineers about why this behavior is happening; kindly check below:

For Zoom users with no calendar Integration

If a meeting is a recurring meeting, meet anytime (no fixed time meeting), and then it will show in the recurring list.

On the web Meeting page:

In client:

For Zoom users with Calendar Integration

If a meeting is a recurring meeting, meet anytime (no fixed time meeting); whether it will show in the recurring list depends on if the client can find the related event in the calendar.

Some recurring time meetings were created in a third-party calendar (e.g., Outlook, Google), and when it was created on the third-party calendar, it had calendar events.
In the Zoom client, if the calendar can find related calendar events, then the recurring meeting will not show up in the recurring list. If the calendar cannot find related calendar events, then the recurring meeting will show in the recurring list.

Attention:

  1. Not all recurring meetings are fixed-time meetings. Most meetings are daily/weekly/monthly meetings.
Only no fixed meeting may appear in the recurring list.

  2. Zoom will recycle meetings. If a meeting is not activated for a long time, then the meeting will expire and will no longer show in the client.

I believe that the point of the desktop app was CONVENIENCE. Constantly having to go the the website is not convenient. Fix the bloody app!

Agree 100% with DuvielAH & Blueberry. I rely on my list of recuring meetings for all my back to back team huddles with my international team. Yesterday I could see my list of Recurring Meetings on my Windows App main screen, today they are all gone. This is NOT the first time this has happened. This is not acceptable. This random bug must be driving Zoom users crazy all over the world!! It is A BUG. Fix it, Zoom!

Great detailed answer, but we are aware of that functionality. WHat we are talking about here is a BUG. When one day the list of recurring meetings show up on the main Zoom app screen, then the next day the entire list of recurring meetings has disappeared. For on good reason. It has happened several times over several years and drives us NUTS. This is core functionality and disrupts all our regular international team huddles. Our team huddles are back to back and we have seconds between meetings to switch to start a new recurring meeting. Fix the bug, Zoom! It's gone on long enough.

I have written about this problem before, the "now you see them, now you don't" recurring anytime meetings in the workplace app. It keeps happening! Do something about it!
