Recording a zoom meeting as participant but only want host to be in recording

Hello,

Simple question.  I am joining a zoom call and ask permission from the host to record. He grants me permission and I record the zoom call. However, the recording includes both the host and me which switches back and forth depending on who is talking. I would only like to record the host even when they are silent, and I am speaking and not have myself part of the recording. I am sure it's a simple solution but not sure how to set to only record the host. Any solutions?  Thank you.
