Recording 2 speakers and not participants

Hi, wondering if someone can tell me how to make this recording happen, please....

I want to record (cloud or to computer, doesn't matter) a Zoom meeting so that we are recording only the 2 or 3 presenters and not the participants. I also want to show the 2 or 3 presenters (the active speakers) on screen at the same time just as they will be in real life (they are both in spotlight).

I have tried to record to the cloud but it is not showing the presenters (active speakers) on screen at same time even though they are both in spotlight. The recording switches between them. It's really important that we NOT record the participants - we don't even want them with cameras off because we don't want anyone to see their names (privacy).

Is this possible and how?

Thank you so much.

Hi, @Jen_FamilySmart

To record people using video at the same time, you can record them in gallery view.
If you select Hide non-video participants in the View option, you will not see the participants who are not using video.

Alternatively, a webinar could be conducted.
During a webinar, participants are not allowed to use cameras.
Also, if a participant wishes to use a microphone, the host or panelist must allow them to speak.
Also, participants will not be able to see the names of other participants.

Hi,

Yes, this is possible, but it requires a few key settings. First, make sure the presenters are all spotlighted—this locks their video layout for all participants and the recording. Then, go into your Zoom settings (either web portal or during the meeting) and enable "Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately" if using cloud recording. For your specific need, choose "Gallery View" as your layout so both spotlighted presenters appear side-by-side. Also, under Recording Settings, disable participant video and audio recording, and consider enabling "Hide participant profile pictures in a meeting" to further protect privacy.
