Questions in Q&A not seen by others

Since yesterday I noticed that none of my questions in the Q&A were answered but seeing other participants questions being answered. I attended three meetings this morning and none of my questions were seen by the other participants. How do I fix this?

Hi @Cassa - can you clarify if you attended as a participant? Is this a webinar or regular meeting? Typically, if you are a participant and you submitted question, the people at the backstage get to choose what questions they will provide an answer to.

Hi @Tash_Balaguer I was a participant in three meetings today, one was a webinar. They meetings were from different organizations, unrelated. All the other participants questions were answered in the Q&A in all the meetings, except for mine. I opened the meeting on both my phone and computer and could only see my message on the device that I typed the message on. So the messages I typed on the computer, I was not able to see on the phone. Those I typed on the phone, I was not able to see on the computer.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Cassa and @andrewridge.

 

As participants, you will see different behaviors in the Q&A panel.  Each  meeting/webinar host has the option to set up Q&A differently, including who sees the questions, whether they can be asked anonymously, etc.  And when a host or panelist answers your question, they have the option to make the answer just visible to you, or to everyone.

@Ray_Harwood While this may be true, I was able to see everyone else messages and the responses to all their questions from the host. None of my questions were answered because they were not seen. I even wrote in the chat "Can anyone see this message?" and got no response.

Yes, same here since updating my desktop to Sequoia.  And the legend "only visible to you until Approved" did not make enough sense for me to explore further.   Other people were responded to.   Zoom interface isn't friendly anyway: you have to go excavating to confirm in advance whether your sound is capable of getting through.  Today, even that was not accessible.  Best one can say is Zoom is rather less clunky than Microsoft Teams.  I have tried several times to nudge Zoom to add a sound volume meter upfront, and a tone control to adjust those muffled/booming contributors we all know so well!  No answer, of course.
