Profile name shows "Zoom User"

I have a licensed account. But when I was on a Zoom session, it timed out after 40 minutes. When I looked at my profile, the name was "Zoom User" instead of my name with an e-mail address I've never seen before. I had to log out and log back into my profile using my e-mail address. What was this temporary profile named "Zoom User"?

You are the first one I've been able to find with my same problem. I can't find an answer. My profile shows my name. But the window comes up saying :Zoom User." The only place I can find that is on the home page of the app in the upper right corner showing "ZU." (attached) As you say, it is accompanied by a strange email address. All the other places for my profile show my name. Have you found an answer?

The DISPLAY NAME is what is shown as your participant name. In the web portal edit your profile and change this.

Thank you for that but my display name is correct in my profile and it still showing up as “Zoom User” in Zoom meetings.

Your display name can also be overridden every time you join a session manually. If you are joining via a link try joining manually with meeting id and passcode. You will have the opportunity to see the participant name and also to change it and select a choice to remember it for future meetings.
