We are going to do our first recording on zoom (used discord before). I see things saying there is a time limit on recording? Is that true? If so how long and can you essentially hit the time limit and the start again?

    Hi @Alex11

I do not believe there are specific record-time limits.

On a Free account, the Zoom Meeting itself is limited to 40 minutes if more than two people join the meeting.  The recording itself may count as a "user" though (I'm not sure) so may push you over the edge.

Paid accounts do not have this limitation - other than 30hrs.

A Free account can only record locally.

Paid accounts can record in the cloud, but have only 1GB cloud storage per account by default.

    Hope this helps.

Once the 40 minutes is up can you rejoin a meeting and start again?

Yes. The Meeting must be ended - but it can be started again. You will get separate recordings for each instance. I would ensure you capture/save/rename your recordings after each instance. Just in case.
