On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Pin Messages to meeting

I host several study groups during the week on zoom.  I want to be able to pin a message to the top of the general chat for everyone to see as they arrive.  People come in a different times so that's why it needs to be pinned.  However, there is no option to do that.  Zoom instructions talk about how to do this on team chat, but NOT in regular meetings.  Any help with this?

For regular meetings you have the option to employ closed captions to pin a message to the meeting as a caption for everyone to see as they arrive. People who arrive at different times will all be able to see this message. You can set this up yourself using APIs or if you are not a developer there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you pin a message as a caption to a meeting for all participants to see regardless of when they joined.

For regular meetings you have the option of using third party closed captions and leveraging APIs to pin a message as a text caption to the meeting interface for everyone to see as they arrive regardless of what time they join the meeting. If you are not a developer there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that can do this for you letting you pin a message as a caption to the meeting for participants to view without requiring any action on their part and prominently displayed to participants who arrive at different times.
