Permission is needed to view this recording

I was sent a link to a Zoom recording, along with a passcode. When I click on the recording link, it says, "Permission is needed to view this recording." My only choice is to click the "Request to view" button. There is nowhere for me to enter the passcode. Can someone tell me why this is happening? Thanks!

Dear @Apriem ,
it sounds like the owner of the recording link has not given you sufficient rights, or has restricted the rights on the recording so that you are not allowed to access it (e.g., maybe the owner has only given sharing permissions to users that are logged into their account, or that logged in with a Zoom account).

You would need to check with the owner of the recording, how they have configured the sharing settings.
