Participants unable to screen share or use audio in meetings

I have been experiencing an issue with my team for screensharing and audio with Zoom. 

Basically, screen sharing option is missing for participants. The only options they see are Participants, Raise hand, Meeting info and More.
They are also unable to join with an audio in a Zoom meeting. The issue doesn't seem to happen for a host of a meeting. 

I first noticed this on MacOS devices but soon realized this issue is coming up in all browsers (Chrome, Edge and Safari) and Windows as well. Using the latest version of Zoom on macOS and windows devices.

I have already checked and made sure Zoom has access to all settings in this article: Enabling screen sharing for participants in Zoom meetings

I have also made sure the global settings in Zoom admin is not restricting screen sharing. This is happening to all users in my team for any internal or external meeting where they are the participants. 

Any ideas?

First, as the host use the Zoom app instead of a browser. Second, be sure that screen sharing is on and configured correctly in the Zoom web portal under meeting basics. Then enable screen sharing for participants. Participants can then click "share".
