Participants repeatedly getting kicked out of breakout rooms

This issue started week of April 29, 2024. A few participants in a meeting cannot go to breakout rooms. They go, but then are quickly sent back to the main room without having clicked on anything. This has happened to different people, on different accounts. We have tried assigning them to a different room, we have had them log out and log back in. Zoom has been VERY UNHELPFUL saying only that it is because participants have a poor internet connection. These participants have been in the meeting without other issues for a total of 29 hours (over 10 days). It is causing a lot of problems for our training participants. Anyone have any answers? THANKS!

Hello! Thank you for posting to the Zoom Community.

Can you please provide the Zoom app version, operating system, and device being used by those who are experiencing this issue? TYIA.

Is there a fix for this issue?

The best thing I have found is to ask them to not click anything once they get into the zoom room.  Other than that I just keep trying to get them to a room. So frustrating.

Hello,

There are minimum requirements to use breakout rooms and certain features related to breakout rooms.

Since not all participants are having issues have you confirmed that the participants with issues meet the minimum requirements?

Requirements for participating in meeting breakout rooms
  • Invitation to join breakout rooms from the meeting host
  • Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher
  • Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher
  • Users joined into the Zoom meeting from the following platforms can be assigned to and participate in breakout rooms:
    • Zoom desktop app
    • Zoom mobile app
    • Zoom web app
    • Phone dial-in
    • H.323/SIP devices
    • Zoom Room
