Hi, I have uninstalled Zoom, reinstalled, checked camera settings all are on (But Zoom not showing in the list)  including web, allowing it.  But no video when I open the app for meetings.  I am on Firefox, windows 11.  I have cleared cache and restarted multiple times.  Had an important meeting today and I was the only one without video.  Sad!

Does anyone know how to get Zoom to show up on the apps that will be allowed camera access?

Thank you.

Hey there! It might be because of Windows 11 camera permissions and how Zoom works with your system’s privacy settings. Here are a few solutions you can try.

Step-by-Step Solution
1. Windows Camera Permissions
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings
- Navigate to Privacy & Security > Camera
- Ensure "Camera access" is turned ON
- Verify "Let apps access your camera" is also ON
Note: Zoom desktop app may not appear in the app list below (this is normal)

2. Test Your Camera
- Open the Windows Camera app to confirm your camera works
- If the camera doesn't work in Windows Camera app, the issue is with your camera drivers, not Zoom

3. Zoom Application Settings
- Open the Zoom desktop app
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > Video
- Check if your camera appears in the "Camera" dropdown menu
If no camera is detected, try selecting a different camera option if available

4. Firefox Browser Permissions (if using web version):
- In Firefox, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Permissions > Camera
- Ensure zoom.us is allowed to access your camera
Try clicking the camera icon in the address bar during a Zoom meeting to grant permissions

5. Additional Troubleshooting
- Close all other video applications (Teams, Skype, etc.) that might be using your camera
- Unplug and replug your webcam (if external)
- Update your camera drivers through Device Manager
Try using Zoom in Chrome or Edge browser as an alternative

Quick Test:
Before your next meeting, join a test meeting at zoom.us/test to verify everything works properly.

Alternative Solutions:
If the desktop app continues having issues, use Zoom through your web browser temporarily

Consider updating Windows 11 if you're not on the latest version

II hope these steps help you fix your video issues. If you need any more help or if anything doesn’t work as expected, just let me know!
