Names of participants in Zoom meeting all display as host's name

Hi~ I just hosted a Zoom meeting where all of the participant's names were not displayed as their names, but as my name (the host). Some of the participants were able to manually edit their names during the meeting. But generally, this made for a confusing meeting, especially in the chat—where participants who hadn't changed their names were posting under my name (the host).

This is a Zoom meeting that I had pre-scheduled with a registration form. Afterwards when I downloaded the participant report, the participant's real names were included, but each was listed with another participant's email address (weird).

I've hosted many Zoom meetings, and this has never happened to before. How can I ensure that participant names will be displayed properly in my Zoom meetings going forward?
