My recurring meeting has disappeared from schedule and link is invalid. Any ideas please?

I spoke to Zoom and they said that when you insert the meeting into Google calendar it is a two way link. Meaning that if you alter your calendar it alters the meeting in Zoom. Deleting a meeting in your calendar will also delete it in Zoom even if it is a recurring one and you only delete one meeting. You can either stop the bi directional link (as they put it) in settings or rather than delete meetings on your calendar amend them this will also amend them in Zoom. We've been with them for 5 years and there have been so many updates (mainly useless gimmicks) that they must have slipped this functionality in as I don't recall it being the case 5 years ago!
