Mute on/off is slow on Windows only

Has this been confirmed across a sample-set of devices (10+ Windows devices, 10+ Mac devices)?

Is the issue persistent across multiple versions of Zoom?

Are all Windows devices using the same audio input/output hardware?

My 4 colleagues use m1 macbooks and they all switch instantly.
I am using asus zenbook 14 oled (windows11) with core ultra5 and it is slow.
My friend is using a lifebook (windows10pro) with the 7th generation core i7 from fujitsu and it is slow.
