Music don't hear

Hello everyone! In our school, we use Soundpad software to play music during breaks. Right now, for some reason, the program isn't playing the music, and it's not audible. I used a special feature in the settings (seems to be called 'Original sound'). Could you please help us resolve this?

Since you did not give the device type or OS I will assume a desktop PC. Computer audio is very complex and there are a number of factor that must be considered. First be sure you downloaded and installed the 64bit version. Next be sure that playback can be heard on the default sound card output (windows allows different sound card channels to be selected). In Zoom select share > advanced > computer audio.

The problem may be related to program settings or playback device selection. Try the following step-by-step steps:

1. Check Audio Devices in Soundpad

Soundpad plays audio through specific devices. Ensure the correct audio device is selected.

  • Open Soundpad.
  • Go to File > Preferences > Audio.
  • Verify that the correct playback device is selected.
  • Test by clicking the Test button next to the selected device.

2. Check the 'Original Sound' Feature

If you are using the "Original Sound" function, try turning it off temporarily and check the playback.

3. Check Volume and Mute Settings

  • Ensure the volume slider in Soundpad for the track you're playing is not muted or too low.
  • Check the system's master volume settings and make sure the selected audio output device isn't muted.

4. Verify Virtual Audio Devices

If you're using Soundpad's virtual audio device:

  • Ensure it is properly set up:
    • In Soundpad preferences, verify that the virtual device is selected for playback.
  • Check your system's audio input and output settings:
    • On Windows, go to Control Panel > Sound or Settings > System > Sound and verify the correct device is set as the default.

5. Update Soundpad and Audio Drivers

  • Make sure you're using the latest version of Soundpad. You can update it via Steam or the Soundpad website.
  • Update your audio drivers:
    • Go to Device Manager > Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.
    • Right-click on your audio device and select Update driver.
    • Or download the drivers from the official website of your sound card.

6. Test with Other Tracks

Play different audio files to confirm the issue isn't specific to one file.

7. Restart and Reconfigure

  • Restart both Soundpad and your computer.
  • Reconfigure Soundpad preferences:
    • Set audio output devices again in Preferences > Audio.
    • Test using a new configuration.

8. External Factors

  • Background noise cancellation:When using a Zoom program, the noise reduction function may block the music. Turn noise reduction off in the Zoom sound settings.
  • Speakers or sound system:Make sure the external speakers are working, check the sound on headphones or another device.

Final Step: Test Playback

  • After making changes, test playback directly in Soundpad using the Test Playback button in preferences.
  • If issues persist, reinstall Soundpad to ensure a fresh configuration.

Try, test and you will definitely succeed 👌💯

Okay, I'll try. I hope it works.

I just downloaded an older version and everything works.
