Mic and cam disabled when joining a meeting

Good day, I'm hoping someone has experienced this issue and can provide a solution.

 

When attempting to join a meeting, neither the microphone nor camera are available. Both test as functional before the meeting starts. They are functional when I host a meeting, but not when I join someone else's meeting. This is very frustrating. Please help!

Hello,

The host of another meeting can prevent you from speaking or showing your camera.

Have you asked them if this is the case?

Hi Frank & thank you. I have asked two different hosts to double-check their permission settings for guests joining and participating in a meeting. Both were stumped. My temporary solution is to invite the host to join my meeting, at which point all technology is functional. Thanks.
