Hello,
I use Zoom – among other things – for student office hours: the meeting should remain open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., so that students can join freely during that time.
The issue is that if I start the meeting and remain the only participant for about 40 minutes, Zoom automatically ends the meeting; as a result, students who try to join later cannot find me, and I am forced to restart the session manually.
This is a serious operational problem for me.
Questions:
Is there a setting to disable the timeout when only one participant is in the meeting?
Is this a platform or license limitation? In the documentation, I read that with a Licensed account a meeting can last up to 30 hours, but if there is only one participant it may end after 40 minutes. How can I ensure that the meeting room stays active for the entire scheduled time slot?
Thank you for your help!
Nicola

Simply add a participant device you own. Adding changing content will also help.
