My Mac has been refusing to connect to zoom for the past few months, it won’t even log in, tried so many different ways and solutions, just keep getting “failed to connect : 5003”

here’s what i’ve tried so far with no luck:

reinstalling

restarting computer

disabling firewall

allowong access to mic

changing dns servers

all to no avail 😞 anything else i can try?

Hi @miriam7, welcome to the Zoom community! I know it has been a while since you initially posted, but I want to make sure you receive assistance. Are you still having this issue? If so, I'd love to help you get it resolved.

Hi I have been having the same issue for about 4 months, on a macbook pro 2016 13 inch (2,9 ghz). Am thinking of cancelling my zoom pro subscription because I am aunable to resolve this and organise meetings!

I "solved" that issue by creating a new user on my Mac Mini. The problem is that I need to change the user every time I need to have a meeting.

    Hello,

Zoom uses Zoom cookies and cache. Depending on how you uninstalled the cookies and cache may not have been uninstalled. If the cookies or cache are corrupted they could cause issues even after a reinstall.

    The Zoom Mac app has an uninstalled that can delete these cookies;

Uninstall Zoom version 4.4.53932.0709 and higher

    1. Open the Zoom desktop application.
    2. Select zoom.us at the top of your screen and select Uninstall Zoom.
    3. Select OK to confirm uninstalling the Zoom desktop application and all of its components.
    4. Once completed, reinstall Zoom on our download center.

Uninstall Zoom version 4.4.53909.0617 and below

    1. Open Finder.
    2. Select Go at the top of your screen.
    3. Select Go to Folder...
    4. Once opened, input ~/.zoomus/
    5. Move ZoomOpener to your trash.
    6. Once completed, repeat steps 3 through 5 for the following folders and files:
      • Folder: /Applications/ Move to Trash: zoom.us.app
      • Folder: ~/Applications/ Move to Trash: zoom.us.app
      • Folder: /System/Library/Extensions/ Move to Trash: ZoomAudioDevice.kext
      • Folder: ~/Library/Application\ Support/ Move to Trash: zoom.us
        Note
: Zoom may not be installed in both the /Applications and ~/Applications folders.
    7. Once completed, download Zoom from our download center and reinstall

Try that and see if it helps.

    Hi Frank,

I finally solved the situation by following the right process to uninstall the app. After years my Zoom is working properly again!

    Thank you so much!
