Local Zoom recording missing active speaker thumbnail

My company did a zoom public program recorded on the local computer and it's missing the active speaker thumbnail.  It's never happened before and I saw on the forums is was a known issue for Mac users on an older client.  I'm using the latest 6.3.1.

Hello, Did you happen to find a way to recover the speaker video? I recorded my PhD defense with the "Record active speaker with shared screen" button checked but it didn't record my face and I'm so distraught since it only recorded my shared screen and not the speaker view. 😫
