On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Joining another Zoom account

I have been invited to join an account managed by my church. It appears that to do so, I must close out my own personal Zoom account. Is that true? I would like to maintain my personal Zoom account, but also be able to schedule and host meetings under the church's account.

Hi @pmcgeary

Yes, if you accept the invitation to another account, your account will be terminated, while your individual user profile is transferred to their account. If you want to keep your account separate from the church's Zoom account, you would need to use a different email address, so that the church can invite that Zoom user, rather than your personal account.

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions. Otherwise, make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.
