Issue Joining Recurring Meetings

I am having an issue joining recurring meetings. If I try to join it tells me the meeting was scheduled for [original date] and does not let me in when the host arrives. When this happens, I try joining directly from the Zoom app, from the link in the Outlook invite, and from the Slack integration, all with the same result. Eventually, it will let me join from the browser, but even that is not immediate. Is this a known issue? Other attendees do not seem to be dealing with this, despite joining through the same link/avenues, being under the same org, and having the same apps. How can I get Zoom to recognize a recurring invite to let me join?

Did you talk with the host about your issue? Most likely you are not being admitted right away by the host. Even when the host turns off the waiting room he still needs to admit those who were waiting before then.

No, the host isn't notified that I'm waiting. For them, there is no indication I'm trying to join and stuck with a meeting was [original date] notification.
