I can't turn off my virtual background on my Macbook M2 Pro

For some reason, my Zoom keeps showing a blue virtual background, even though all camera effects are turned off. Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

- Disabled the virtual background in Zoom

- Cleared Zoom’s cache

- Reinstalled the Zoom app

Interestingly, my camera shows up as "FaceTime HD Camera," and when I use Zoom through a browser or WhatsApp, everything looks normal, no virtual background at all. So this seems to only happen in the Zoom desktop app.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

That appears to be a background coming from the Facetime HD camera video effects (https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/use-the-camera-mchlp2980/mac
