On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

I can only host or join meeting from browser since update. Why?

I updated on Tuesday as requested and since then I am unable to launch meetings without going through the browser. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom three times and now reset my laptop too, but it's still the same. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

hi yogasoulsbysara,

 

please completely uninstall zoom client by following this support article.  after completely uninstalling zoom client, restart your laptop.  then download and install zoom client.

if that does not fix the problem, please provide the operating system for your laptop such as windows 11 and zoom client such as zoom windows desktop client version 5.13.4.
