I went into my Zoom today, which I use for personal reasons to stay in touch with family. I opened on my desktop, per usual, signed in, and it immediately took me to "Zoom Workplace" and all my scheduled meetings were gone. I had to go onto Zoom's website and login to my account there in order to find them.
I do not want Zoom workplace. I do not want to be charged for Zoom workplace. I don't want to have to sign in through the website. If I find out I'm being charged extra for a service I neither wanted nor use, I'm cancelling my account and moving to another online meeting platform.
Does anyone know how to switch back, or have experienced this?

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!! Your recurring meetings are NOT GONE! In the meetings tab look at the very bottom of the window and you will see a link that says "Recurring (XX)" (where XX is the number of recurring meetings).
Zoom Workplace is simply the latest version of Zoom and offers numerous features in part includes to manage chatting before, during, and after, scheduling, calendaring, starting, and editing meetings.

Please please PLEASE don't force workplace on us. It truly feels like we are being forced to either stop using zoom or enable all the things I do not need or want. I want Zoom separate from that. Standalone. PLEASE give us that option. This is truly frustrating and is costing me a lot of time explaining that I can't turn it off and go back to the simple way we used to use Zoom. I use it personally and professionally - and now I'm just fed up and angry with the whole thing. Whoever thought it was a good idea to push this onto us must be crazy to believe we would like it. Most of us already have a suite for such things, and don't want to change it and redo all of our integrations. Offer us a choice!

That's not true. Only one of my 4 recurring meeting links was still available. I tried to set up a new recurring meeting link and I couldn't unless on put it on the calendar. I DON"T WANT to calendarize my meetings on zoom. I do not like the directions that zoom is going. I'm paying for the service and it is getting less and less useful do to all the "bells and whistles". All I need or want is a very simple system. I finally got it all working very simply for myself and for those I meet with and then of course zoom decides to upgrade and screws it all up.

I already HAVE these things, and they are integrated DEEP - websites, other software and apps, all of our employees. upgrading service is one thing. Forcing a whole suite on us is entirely another. And, quite frankly, I'm pretty angry about it. If I have a favorite restaurant I go to and I order a shrimp salad and water, and they come put a steak, potato, tea, wine, dessert, and a salad with one shrimp on it -- I'd walk out. They can explain that I'm getting so much more than what I used to get when I ordered the same thing, and they would be correct. But it isn't what I wanted, no one told me it wasn't the same till I saw it in front of me on the table, and all it's doing is crowding up my table. Make sense? I'm glad you love it and think it's a good idea. I don't love it, and forcing it on me was definitely NOT a good idea. I'm not changing procedures and apps and software to accommodate keeping Zoom. I'm going to use the video communication that comes with what else I have already, and I'll redo that one portion of the website and self-calendaring instead of doing a complete overhaul. Even if the clients have to download something to view it, it would be better than feeling like a big corporation came in and started making decisions for me about what I needed without so much as consulting me first.

I appreciate the instructions. Thanks! But many of us do not like the new platform. I find it very clunky. I have Zoom through my employer for meetings....but I also pay for a personal account for meeting up with my friends and family. I don't need a "workplace" for that, and therefore automatically blanketing me with these features and without choice is not fair to all Zoom consumers.

I manage 6 enterprise accounts each with multiple hosts and a personal account that has over 50 recurring meetings with friends plus numerous other meetings that we join. I have developed one click shortcuts on PCs, iPads, and iPhones that can join or start a meeting without having to sign in first.

I am now out of the US for the summer and I am still waiting, weeks later, for my Zoom account to be changed back to its original. I don't know how it was changed back to the original for some, but not for mine. Don't try to convince me this is better; just tell me what I need to do to get out of workplace, because I am not paying to use this for my workplace!!!

That's great for you, but for people who use it recreationally(like me), it's really a mess. I use it to go to a couple of meetings a day that I don't have to run. I just sign on (as I did before) and I'm there. BUT, there's a whole lot of difficulty that's unnecessary now.

I've decided not to renew. I will go back to using the free version. Hard to believe that a $180/yr. subscription doesn't entitle one to live customer support.

Good morning! So, today (Thursday, 5/9), I open up my Zoom, go to Meetings tab, and everything is back to NORMAL! Hallelujah!!! It did not say there was an update, but I don't care. Its working now... I hope they were listening to us all and won't do that again! 🙂 Whew...

this new UI/UX design of Zoom workplace for Windows is very bad, together comes with many bugs here and there, cannot image how such a famous software with such poor quality can pass all the test and eventually gave the very bad experience to its loyal customers. a few bugs: no sound alert and pop-up window when a participant enters the waiting room, share the sound is not working with many music app, when zoom workspace is launched, other music app will lost the sound. Besides very hard to find the recurring meetings, the worst part is if you edit your recurring meeting, it will disappear from the list. No end meeting button if you are still sharing the screen ....

Sound alert works and is still managed in the Participant Window menu.

If it appears that Zoom is overriding an app you may need to configure the audio for the output device to not take exclusive control or find other ways to manage the audio. As a sound engineer I can tell you that audio is the most complex system in most computers and there are many ways and many settings that are possible. I have never had an issue with playing background sounds in Zoom, but that may be because of the way I manage the Windows settings and the apps I use.
For the end meeting button while you are sharing go to More > show meeting windows - end button is lower right corner or you can click the X in the upper right corner and click end meeting for all.

since everyone already uses teams, that's what I'm going to end up doing if they don't offer a way to take us back and at least offer a choice of keeping what worked or jumping into the new workplace. I have subscriptions for several of our employees that depend on zoom for client meetings, and also court meetings and meetings with other attorneys, etc. My zoom meetings are short and sweet, I don't need what they need. But I'll cancel them all and move it rather than waste my time with the tech concerns that land in my lap. I just need it reliable and consistent. Not all those bells and whistles that have absolutely nothing to do with the original intention of zoom. If I'm already investing time trying to smooth feathers and get people on their zooms when they can't, I may as well invest it in moving it and updating our website and calendar to making self-appointments with something else. It really amazes me that they didn't have the foresight to think "We should offer a choice." But it appears they think it's so great that we should love it! But what they did was change what zoom is. I liked them better when they were focused on being the best at video conferencing. I can get all this other crap anywhere. But I was remaining loyal to Zoom for video. I see no reason to now, though. I get it - they probably lost some folks to the suites that now offer that as well. But in trying to win that market back, they are alienating most of their base market that made them what they are.

The last thing I need is another calendar. I manage Zoom meetings through calendar invites, that I view in a calendar app. I DEFINITELY want to turn off the massive calendar view in the "new" Zoom. I just want video calls, thank you, stop competing to me more than that!

I too, would love to revert to the old version. This one is always saying the connection is unstable, and I'm having the same "disappearing meeting" issues that others have reported. Please, how does one get OUT of Zoom Workplace??

zoom workplace is an unnecessary complication to a formerly great program. I'd love to have the original back. Is there anyway to do. I'd hate to go to Skype or Google meetings.
