I DON'T WANT ZOOM WORKPLACE - how do I turn it off?

I went into my Zoom today, which I use for personal reasons to stay in touch with family. I opened on my desktop, per usual, signed in, and it immediately took me to "Zoom Workplace" and all my scheduled meetings were gone. I had to go onto Zoom's website and login to my account there in order to find them.

I do not want Zoom workplace.  I do not want to be charged for Zoom workplace. I don't want to have to sign in through the website. If I find out I'm being charged extra for a service I neither wanted nor use, I'm cancelling my account and moving to another online meeting platform.

Does anyone know how to switch back, or have experienced this?

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!! Your recurring meetings are NOT GONE! In the meetings tab look at the very bottom of the window and you will see a link that says "Recurring (XX)" (where XX is the number of recurring meetings).

Zoom Workplace is simply the latest version of Zoom and offers numerous features in part includes to manage chatting before, during, and after, scheduling, calendaring, starting, and editing meetings.

THANK YOU for taking the time to share this info. Unfortunately, that option doesn't even exist under General for me, and I am a paying client.

No worries, this was a headache for me too. Try calling them at: 1-888-799-0125.

Go through the prompts and get tech support. They asked for my email address, Personal Meeting ID, and Host key. If you have the host key it is in your online account portal under Profile> Meeting> Host Key. Click the eyelashes to see it. Good luck to everyone.

I tried doing Chat Support, but it provides these same instructions (thanks again!), which would be great if that option actually existed on my account. Despite being a paying subscriber, I was told that my account isn't eligible for support.  Wonder if Zoom realizes there are other options to paying them!

For anyone interested in Support Information. I will try to describe it below. It appears that even if you pay for a Pro Plan you have to have enough accounts to equal $50.00 or more per month to even get chat support. https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/contact?id=contact_us . See the link  and be sure to click the tab that says "Owner/Admin." Interesting how they don't have this information on their "Plans & Pricing" page. Not a great practice. If you have an enterprise plan like I do that costs more than $200.00 per month then they give you phone support. Really sad business practice.

I have uninstalled the desktop client until you roll it back to a usable version. This is not why I have a pro subscription, to have to root around for a link to send to my client for a meeting. Was this idea by some sort of nepo hire? Try again!

Hello Zoom Community members! Thank you for following this thread.

The setting for merging the Meetings and Calendar tabs was removed from the Web portal on September 16, 2024. For Zoom Workplace app version 6.2.0 and higher, the tabs are now permanently merged to enhance visibility of calendar views and meeting details. More details on this change are available in our support article: Using the merged Meetings and Calendar tabs. Using the "Agenda" option will provide a view that is more similar to the previous Meetings view rather than a full calendar view.

If you would like to submit a feature request regarding the Calendar view, you can do so using the Give Feedback tab within the Zoom client.

Please, please give us a way to use classic Zoom. I am a teacher. I teach on Zoom. I do not need all this extra nonsense in Zoom Workplace. By bogging it down with all these new "features," not to mention the new layout which makes no sense, you've made my already difficult job nearly impossible.

Hi

Is there not a way that customers have the option to run the old Zoom programme or the new Zoom workplace. this would solve most of my issues and for many other posts as well

Zoom are clearly not listening to these hundreds of complaints, which is why I have cancelled my subscription Probably moving to Teams.
They will perhaps put it right after everyone has left.
Shades of the Post Office - our software cannot be wrong.

Zoom Workplace is a nightmare to record with. Why we have a million windows and I can't just have one that shows me what my recording is going to look like when the webinar is over just makes no sense to me. This is part of my job and it's going to create so much more work for me to fix things.

Horrifically bloated, uncustomizable update! CPU and Memory Hog. Can't have any other program open! It infiltrated Task Scheduler to start up automatically whenever the PC is turned on -  no warning or setup option.  Numerous unwanted 'features' that can not be turned off. The size of this new Zoom is bigger than all other apps on my PC.  Huge folders full of playtime images. 35MB+ in the emoji folder alone! Ringtones. wallpaper, crowd pictures.  I've spent hours trying to figure out what can be safely deleted and what could be turned off in the running program. I do not want Zoom to access a calendar, contacts, emails. I deleted the MAPI executables.  I had no idea the message that an update was available would load a new product.  The AI hype will come back to bite you - what could go wrong? All I need is access to meetings.  Do I have to uninstall Zoom after every meeting?  Give us back a small client!

I don't believe you are listening to your customers. We don't like the Workplace. I find it annoying that everything I need to be visible is now gone, with the option of hotkeys for a few things. It is like a PC was traded to a Mac without asking.  Please listen to your customers and allow us to load Zoom without the Workplace changes.
