How to turn off Ai recording of a meeting and not have it come back on

I attend and am often host of a regularly scheduled 12 step meeting on Zoom.  If I host I have to login using the host code as I am not the owner of the account on which the meeting takes place.  Lately a message pops up along the lines of the meeting is being recorded by AI. Obviously in a 12 step meeting anonymity is essential .  We do not want this feature and do not even want it to pop up and ask to record. Under "Host Tools" and the "Allow all participants to:" I have unchecked " Record to computer", "Request to record to computer" and " Request host to start cloud recording ". I have also turned off AI Companion. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30am and about that time a thing called (something like) "Cross Coalition AI  . . . " meeting recorder pops up as if it is another participant and I as host remove it. All of this is very unsettling for our participants and we really need help getting this resolved. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Scott63,
Since you are NOT the owner of the host account you are using for your meetings, you will have to work with the owner to modify/disable meeting settings that
1. Auto-start meeting recording
2. Auto-start AI Companion Meeting Summary
3. Prevent 3rd party meeting recorders from joining your meeting
for a new or recurring meeting.

To disable Auto-start meeting recording and Auto-start AI Companion Meeting Summary, I suggest doing the following for the host account owner.
1. During the meeting schedule task or update a recurring meeting, disable (uncheck) the option  "Automatically record meeting to the cloud".  This is found under the "Options" section on the Schedule a Meeting page for the host account in the Zoom portal.  Click the Show link to display the options to uncheck.  This option is also found when scheduling a meeting in the Outlook or Google calendar add-ins.  You can also create a template to standardize your meeting options so the host does not have to modify them for each meeting.
2. You can do the same with the disabling the Auto-start AI Companion.  Scroll up a little higher in the Schedule a Meeting page to the AI Companion section and uncheck the  "Automatically start AI Companion" option.  If you are unable to fully clear the check-box, then the setting needs to be modified in the host account Settings page.
To prevent a 3rd party meeting recordings from joining your meeting, I suggest using the Waiting Room feature. When its is enabled, it will force all attendees into the waiting room upon joining the meeting. This will allow you to see all attendees and then choose those you want to admit or remove.    Therefore when the bot joins the meeting it will be forced into the waiting room where you can remove it. This option is also on the Schedule a Meeting page in the Security section. You can also use the Waiting Room settings to create rules for who should go into the waiting room as well.

Some other options to consider are
1. Require Registration for the meeting, only approved attendees will be admitted.  Don't have to use the waiting room and bots can't register (yet).  See this support page Meeting Registration
2. Use an authentication method to refine who is authorized to join your meeting. See this support page Meeting Authentication Methods

IHTH,
