How to activate Slides as background?

I am using MacBookAir MacOS 14.7.2 and Zoom 6.3.5. I would like to share power point presentation so that I will be seen in front of the slides. However, the advanced option slides as background is not possible. When I choose Share / advanced the option slides as background is not available. There is a small yellow triangle with exclamation mark inside. What to do? If you reply to my problem, please keep your language simple as English is my thurd language - meaning not very strong.

This feature was deprecated by Zoom in 6.3.0 (December 2024 release):

Per Zoom, the best/new way to achieve this is via Screen Sharing Presenter Layouts:

EDIT: But upon eating the dog food and testing this on my own device, I see that Zoom will not allow me to select Slides as an option, even when following these instructions. I smell a bug (or documentation that needs refining)!!
