Hey @billycar, I believe I know what you're referring to, in the screenshot below are you trying to expand your profile picture to fill the empty space?
If so, I don't believe there is a way as this is by design. Trying to upload different sizes of profile pictures and it seems like those gray spaces don't get filled if the picture is bigger or smaller.
