As Zoom has become an essential tool for communication, especially for large teams, we’ve encountered some challenges with maintaining quality and efficiency during high-traffic meetings. What strategies or settings do you use to avoid lag or connectivity issues when hosting or participating in large-scale meetings? Avoid using WiFi  and use ethernet instead. For Windows computers an i7 with 16GB of RAM and a separate GPU is highly recommended. For best screen share graphics, especially when using small fonts, use a 2K or 4K monitor and be sure that optimize for video is unchecked. Zoom will utilize the monitors resolution for transmission. Participants with 2K or 4K monitors will have high quality graphics with minimal bandwidth usage. Be sure host upload bandwidth is at least 20 Mbps.

One reliable way to keep Zoom running smoothly during high-traffic meetings is to optimize your setup before the call even starts—using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi, lowering video resolution when bandwidth is tight, and disabling unnecessary background apps can make a noticeable difference. Many hosts also find it useful to enable features like “suppress background noise,” limit screen-sharing permissions, and encourage participants to mute when not speaking. These small adjustments help reduce strain on the connection and keep the meeting stable, especially when large teams are involved.😊
