On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

How do I obtain attendee's consent to record a meeting? If they refuse, can they attend, mic and camera off?

hi @JeffreyZoom ,
When you start a recording, the user should see a message to say it is being recorded and click ok.
all the best

This is for a class and if I have a student that does not want to participate in the recording can they still be in the meeting with mic off and camera off?

hi @JeffreyZoom
Yes, they can have the camera off, but they need to accept it is recorded. I know this does not work for all situations, but there is no catch-all answer for all instances.
