How Does Enterprise Version Update

How does the enterprise version of zoom update? We have deployed the version with the option to 'auto update' in the 'Fast' channel, but does the app need to be opened in order for the update to apply, or does it update behind the scenes without the app open?

If the client was installed on Windows using an MSI file then the installer is in control. If it was installed using an EXE file then the user has control and can specify update conditions in settings > general.

Thanks for the response storyhub.

 

We installed using the MSI and set it to auto update on the fast channel.  What I'm wondering is whether the app has to be opened in order to update (like the commercial version does) or if it will update without the app opened.
