Help w Audio. message "failed to detect speakers"

I get the message "failed to detect speakers" THis just recently started happening. It seems that i have Audio on everything but ZOOM.

    Check using https://zoom.us/test.  Also make sure all other apps are closed.  If for example you have used Google Meet the HW may still be assigned to another app and then is not available for Zoom.

    I have the same issue, just ran across it for the first time this morning.  Been using Zoom daily for two years.  I suspect its a drivers issue as the "speaker test" freezes the program.

    **Update**  In the app, click on your profile on upper right, check for updates.  Version 5.7.6 was just installed and now everything works fine.

    I have the same issue. I updated to 5.8.1 but that didn't fix the issue. My sound works just fine in all other apps, including videocall apps such as Teams, Hangout, etc...

     

    *UPDATE* Installing the 64bit version fixed the problem for me. https://cdn.zoom.us/prod/5.7.4.804/x64/ZoomInstaller.exe

    Is Zoom going to do a fix for this? Tried everything here. No luck.
