This issue can be quite frustrating. There are several potential solutions to address the hissing effect in your Logitech G Pro X headset when using Zoom. Here are some steps you can try:

1. Update Audio Drivers

Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with specific applications like Zoom.

  • Windows:
    • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
    • Right-click on your audio device and select Update driver.

2. Update Zoom

Make sure you are using the latest version of Zoom. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve audio issues.

  • Open Zoom and sign in.
  • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select Check for Updates.

3. Adjust Zoom Audio Settings

Modify Zoom's audio settings to see if it resolves the hissing issue.

  • Open Zoom and go to Settings (gear icon).
  • Navigate to the Audio section.
  • Under Speaker, select your headset.
  • Uncheck Automatically adjust volume.
  • Click on Advanced and ensure the following:
    • Set Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers to Auto.
    • Disable Persistent Background Noise and Intermittent Background Noise.

4. Disable Audio Enhancements

Sometimes, audio enhancements can cause issues.

  • Windows:
    • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
    • Go to the Playback tab, select your headset, and click Properties.
    • Under the Enhancements tab, check Disable all sound effects or Disable all enhancements.

5. Check for Interference

Ensure that there are no other electronic devices nearby causing interference.

6. Test with Other Applications

Try using your headset with other applications like Skype, Microsoft Teams, or a media player. If the hissing only occurs in Zoom, it further isolates the issue to Zoom settings or compatibility.

7. Reinstall Zoom

Uninstall and reinstall Zoom to ensure no corrupted files are causing the issue.

8. Logitech G Hub Software

Ensure that your headset's firmware is updated through the Logitech G Hub software.

  • Download and install Logitech G Hub from the Official Website.
  • Open Logitech G Hub and update your headset if an update is available.

9. Test Different USB Ports

If you are using a USB headset, try plugging it into a different USB port.

10. Contact Logitech Support

If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Logitech support for further assistance.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the hissing issue with your Logitech G Pro X headset when using Zoom.
