Headphone output temporarily cuts out (~5 sec.) when turning on camera whose mic is being used

I use BT headphones for audio output and a webcam with a mic as my audio / video input (the webcam mic seems to perform better than the headset mic in the BT headphones).

Recently (within the past couple months?), when turning on my camera in a meeting, the audio cuts out for about 5 seconds before coming back. Zoom warns me of low volume and there is silence in the headphones during this time. This did not used to occur.

Aside from missing what's going on in the meeting, this is particularly problematic because going on camera is generally a signal that I'm present and engaged in the meeting, which means it's more likely that people will address me and expect a response, but I appear to be not paying attention.

Since this used to work, it seems like something may have regressed in the Zoom app.

OS: Windows 11

Zoom Version: 6.2.3 (47507)

Headphones: Sony WH-1000XM4

Webcam: Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

The current Zoom version is 6.4.12. Your version is very old. Suggest you update to version 6.4.12.
