FullHD as an extra Zoom option (enabled for me by Zoom Support) works fine with Mac OS X Zoom Clients in both directions, but not with iPad OS in the same perfectly fine network. Both visually and according to Zoom statistic we see the differences in the video quality. Zoom for iPad OS misses even the option "HD video". Zoom support says, that this is not a problem, because the setting with HD will automatically turn on in a meeting based on network bandwidth. It is definitelly true according to Zoom statistic, but the picture coming from Zoom on iPad Pro to Zoom on Mac is not a FullHD. It is HD only. Same network, no public routers in-between, not a mobile network.
Mac OS and iPad Pro in Zoom video chat statistic: Mac - FullHD, iPadPro - HD only. Both Zoom pictures in full screen. Any experience with that?

Zoom will do everything it can to avoid sending FHD. In many cases, you need 3 or more participants connected and at least one must be requesting the sending participant in full-screen active speaker to trigger 1920x1080. Add that to a long list of discrepancies between Zoom Client for iPadOS and for MacOS, which is not documented. You are going to get more information performing your own tests and drawing your own conclusions than by speaking to most Tier I support agents at Zoom who are not only uninformed, they are confident (or assume Zoom documentation is an accurate source of truth - ABSOLUTELY NOT). Dangerous combo.
"Zoom support says, that this is not a problem, because the setting with HD will automatically turn on in a meeting based on network bandwidth."
This is only partially true and maybe 10% of what Zoom uses when deciding whether or not to send FHD.
