Hello @DavidBeaney,
Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.
To convert a Zoom meeting recording saved locally to a Word document, you’ll need to follow these steps:
-
Transcribe the Recording:
- Zoom does not automatically transcribe local recordings. You’ll need to play the recording and use a transcription service or software (such as Microsoft Word’s built-in transcription feature, Google Docs Voice Typing, or a third-party transcription tool) to convert the audio to text.
-
Save or Copy the Transcript:
- Once you have the transcript, copy the text.
-
Paste into Word:
- Open Microsoft Word and paste the transcript into a new document.
- Save the file as a .docx or .doc format.
If you need more details on using transcription tools or have questions about Zoom’s cloud recording transcription (which is only available for cloud recordings, not local), let me know!
