Connect external mic to iphone - Zoom meeting

I am trying to connect an external mic with iPhone and while most of the other apps like voice memo, etc recognizes the mic and works on that mic - while connecting to Zoom meeting, it uses the iPhone's in-built mic and does not use the external mic. I tried looking up settings but didn't see an option to switch the mic. How can I switch the mic that zoom uses?

Hi Alan_kline,

Here's what you can do to connect an external mic to your iPhone.

• Plug in your mic before opening Zoom

• Restart the Zoom app after connecting

• Make sure you’re using the right iOS adapter

• Test with another mic if possible

For important meetings where you need your external mic, we recommend joining through the Zoom desktop app or web client instead.
