Hi! I need to pay for our account. We currently have Pro. I have noticed that I can not add Cohosts to meetings. Is that because we have Pro and that only work in Business? Or, is it a function that need to be setup in the Settings.

Hi, @AH418

Note the two requirements did some to be eligible to be an Alt Host on your meeting

  • Both users need to be Licensed and on the same account

Usually the issue is that you’re trying to make a user who either has their own account, or is on another organization’s account.  If you are both in the same account, neither of you can be Basic/Unlicensed/free account holders; you both must be Licensed (Zoom One Pro).

You should be able to enable co-hosts with your Pro plan, as outlined in the article below:

https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0066640

Note that you will not be able to delegate co-hosts before the meeting, only during the meeting.

To add an alternative host prior to the meeting, please use the information provided in the article below:

Thank you! What about alternative hosts? I can not seem to get that feature to work on the Pro account when scheduling a meeting?

Hi Ray, just to make sure I understand correctly, if I have a pro account and host a weekly meeting, if I need someone to fill in for me one week, they have to have a pro account as well. There is no way to pay for, say, a 1-time alt host license? It can only be done with an annual pro membership? That seems crazy to me, but if that's the case, we will have to buy another pro account for "rainy day" purposes. Thanks.
