Client cannot enter our meetings as usual

Hi,

Hope someone can help me with this.

My client cannot enter our meetings as usual via the link, even if she hovers over it.

Does it have something to do with my new Mac book Air laptop and some Safari setting , or is it on her end?

(Her laptop and operating system are not old.)

Thanks so much!

vks

Hello @vkshelton .

We might need some additional information providing context, because there are many a few things and settings in Zoom that can prevent somebody from joining a meeting, especially from a browser; most of them are "Zoom Meeting Security Settings" in your Zoom Portal (assuming you re the Meeting Host).

How is her laptop trying to join? Via Browser or opens a Local Zoom App installed in the Laptop?

If via Browser, does she has a Zoom account or joining as guest?

What is the Error/Message (if there is any) shown when trying to join and fails?

Among the security and other settings in your Zoom Account that could prevent her from joining your meetings are:

  • Block users in specific domains from joining meetings and webinars.
  • Only authenticated users can join meetings from Web client.
  • Approve or block entry for users from specific countries/regions.
  • Require users to update the client (to a minimum required version).

I hope this can provide some light on where to check first looking for an answer. If it helps, please mark as (Accept as Solution).
