Claim Host

I was in a meeting the evening with no host so there was no one to mute people and organize things.  At the bottom of the Participants list is a button titled "Claim Host."  Clicking this it asks for my Host Key, which I entered, and was told it was invalid or words to that effect.  So what is one supposed to do?  Please explain what it means to Claim Host.  Thanks.

Claiming the "host" role allows a participant to take over as host of the Zoom meeting. It does however require that the user who wants to "claim host" must have the host credentials or as it is called the "host key." See more details at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/205172555-Using-your-host-key. This feature is meant for a host to share hosting privileges with a trusted co-worker.

Please note that giving giving someone a Host Key enables them to claim Host on any meeting scheduled by that Host.

It is not meeting-specific.
