On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Changing host on account

I belong to a 12 step group which meets daily, M-F. The host on the account has moved on so I need to claim host. Zoom info is confusing and incomplete. How do I remove the present host and claim host myself?

Hi, @Jim15

Meeting belongs to the host and meeting ID is not transferable.
If you want to change host, the new host must re-schedule the meeting.
If you want to host a meeting, you may schedule and host the meeting.

However, this does not apply if the user who previously hosted the meeting is removed from the account.
The account administrator can transfer the scheduled meeting to another user account when the user account is removed from the meeting.
