Essentially, I am not able to screen share my PowerPoint slides in full screen for my audience while seeing my notes for myself on a single screen Windows 11 laptop while using Presenter View.
In the past, sharing only the full screen slides would work and then you could personally switch to your notes without any problem by following these Zoom instructions for "Single-monitor setup with slide show in full screen". Video proof that this tricked used to work: https://youtu.be/yu7FIk7FFbc
Now I get the following message when switching from the fullscreen notes to :
"Your screen sharing is paused during powerpoint presenter view" and people see my Presenter View with notes and tools instead of the fullscreen, or the slide they see freezes.
Single monitor, Windows 11. I have Zoom Workplace Version: 6.2.3 (47507)
When sharing the PPT first, then going into slide show, and then going to Presenter View: https://imgur.com/PEdXFNa
When going into Presenter View first, and then sharing only the fullscreen slides: https://imgur.com/VaS9hjd

The solution in my case (thanks for technical support for finding it) was to change my graphics drivers to the following (for Intel): https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html

To do what you want, you need to share the Slide Show window (not the screen) after the laptop is using Presenter View. I have a video showing how to do this at https://youtu.be/1px2cRfsGWk. I hope that helps.

Hi Dave, thanks for your post! But you will notice this is the same YouTube video I shared in my original post 🙂 (although I shared the Mac one instead of the Windows one; my mistake). What I'm saying is that this doesn't work anymore. You can see a video of me attempting this workaround unsuccesfully here: https://imgur.com/tP741PE

In your video you share the PowerPoint window before it is in Presenter View mode. The key is to start Presenter View before sharing in Zoom. Then in Zoom you can choose the Slide Show window, which is a separate window from the Presenter View window. I hope that helps.

I made this video to show two troubleshooting attempts. The first, as you point out, is to share the PowerPoint window before it is in Presenter View mode. However, if you continue a bit longer, the second attempt start Presenter View before sharing in Zoom. Then in zoom, I choose the Slide Show window. And as you can see, it still doesn't work for the preview screen, I still get the message to move away the windows, when tested with a zoom recorded the screen is black for those times, and when joined through my phone also.

Hi Dave, some update: I tested in Zoom on browser and there there is no issue; it works perfectly just as indicated in your video. On Zoom Workplace on Windows 11, however, I cannot get it to work.

I've just tested it on Windows 10 (I don't have a Windows 11 machine) and it works as shown in my video. I would make sure that the Zoom app and Windows have any recent updates applied as that has sometimes caused an issue in the past. If that doesn't solve the problems, I would check to see if there has been a recent update to your video driver as that has also been a source of issues in the past (if there has been a recent video driver update, try to roll back and see if that helps). Hope that helps.

Thanks Dave. Unfortunately I already tested all these options and updated both zoom and Windows 11, etc. Maybe it is a Windows 11 interaction. Anyway, thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it ❤️

I'm glad for this. I recently discovered this problem and am without a solution too.
